Directory

The Directory module in Uni8 is a powerful tool that allows members of your community to connect, network, and collaborate effectively. This module is designed to make it easy for members to find and connect with others based on various filters such as industry, location, and more.

Searching and Filtering Members

The Directory offers several filters to help you quickly find the members you’re looking for:

1. Search Bar:

   • At the top of the Directory page, you can use the search bar to find members by their name, keyword, or other relevant details.

2. Industry Filter:

   • Use the Industry dropdown to filter members based on their industry or field of work.

3. Location Filter:

   • The Location dropdown allows you to filter members by their geographic location, making it easy to find members in your area or a specific region.

Viewing Member Profiles

1. Profile Cards:

   • Each member in the Directory is displayed as a profile card showing key information like their name, title, industry, spaces they belong to, and number of connections.

   • You can view more details by clicking on the profile card, which will take you to the member's full profile page.

2. Connecting with Members:

   • To connect with a member, click the Connect button on their profile card. This will send a connection request to the member.

   • You can also directly call or message them if the options are available on their profile.

Member Profile Page

1. Profile Overview:

   • On the member’s profile page, you can see detailed information such as their work history, skills, connections, and spaces they are a part of.

   • The profile also includes an "About" section where members can share more personal information about themselves.

2. Connecting and Messaging:

   • The profile page provides options to connect with the member if you haven’t already. If connected, you can directly message or call them.

Managing Connections

1. View Your Connections:

   • You can view your existing connections by navigating to your profile page and clicking on the Connections tab.

   • Here, you can manage your connections, view their profiles, and interact with them directly from your connections list.

2. Inviting New Members:

   • If you know someone who would benefit from being in the community, you can invite them to join and be added to the Directory. Use the Invite feature, typically found in your profile or settings menu.
