Account Guide
Manage your member account settings, profile information, and preferences.
Your Account
Account Overview
Your account gives you access to:
- Community content and spaces
- Your membership benefits
- Events and courses you've registered for
- Personal settings and preferences
Accessing Account Settings
- Click your profile picture in the top right
- Select Settings or Account
- Manage your account options
Profile Management
Profile Information
Update your profile details:

| Website | Your personal or professional link |
| Social Links | Connect social profiles |
Editing Your Profile
- Go to Account > Profile
- Click Edit Profile
- Update your information
- Click Save Changes
Profile Photo
Upload a profile photo:
- Click your current photo
- Upload new image
- Crop if needed
- Save
Tips:
- Use a clear, professional photo
- Square images work best
- Minimum 200x200 pixels recommended
Account Settings
Email Address
Your email is used for:
- Signing in
- Receiving notifications
- Payment receipts
- Community updates
To change email:
- Go to Account > Settings
- Click Change Email
- Enter new email address
- Verify via confirmation email
Password
To change password:
- Go to Account > Security
- Click Change Password
- Enter current password
- Enter new password twice
- Save changes
Password tips:
- Use at least 8 characters
- Mix letters, numbers, symbols
- Don't reuse passwords
Forgot Password
- Go to the login page
- Click Forgot Password
- Enter your email
- Check email for reset link
- Create new password
Privacy Settings
Profile Visibility
Control who sees your profile:

| Members Only | Only logged-in members |
| Private | Only you and admins |
Directory Listing
Choose whether to appear in member directory:
- Visible - Listed in directory
- Hidden - Not shown in directory
Contact Preferences
Control how others can contact you:
- Enable/disable direct messages
- Show/hide email address
- Allow/block connection requests
Notification Preferences
Email Notifications
Manage what emails you receive:

| Mentions | When someone @mentions you |
| Event Reminders | Upcoming event notifications |

Setting Preferences
- Go to Account > Notifications
- Toggle each notification type
- Choose frequency (instant, daily, weekly)
- Save preferences
Email Digest
Instead of individual emails:
- Daily Digest - Summary once per day
- Weekly Digest - Summary once per week
- Instant - Each notification separately
Connected Accounts
Social Login
If you signed up with social login:
- View connected accounts
- Connect additional accounts
- Disconnect accounts
Managing Connections
- Go to Account > Connected Accounts
- View linked services
- Connect or disconnect as needed
Data & Privacy
Your Data
You can request:
- Export Data - Download your information
- Delete Account - Remove all your data
Requesting Data Export
- Go to Account > Privacy
- Click Export My Data
- Wait for email with download link
- Download within time limit
Account Deletion
Warning: This action is permanent.
- Go to Account > Privacy
- Click Delete Account
- Enter password to confirm
- Account will be permanently deleted
Billing Information
Payment Methods
If you have memberships or purchases:
- Go to Account > Billing
- View saved payment methods
- Add or remove cards
- Set default payment method
Billing History
View your transaction history:
- Payment dates
- Amounts charged
- Invoice/receipt downloads
Updating Payment Method
- Go to Account > Billing
- Click Add Payment Method
- Enter card details
- Save
Account Security
Two-Factor Authentication
Add extra security (if available):
- Go to Account > Security
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Set up authenticator app
- Save backup codes
Active Sessions
View where you're logged in:
- Go to Account > Security
- See all active sessions
- Sign out from specific devices
- Sign out everywhere if needed
Security Tips
- Use a strong, unique password
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Review active sessions regularly
- Don't share login credentials
Troubleshooting
Can't Log In
- Check email address is correct
- Try password reset
- Clear browser cache
- Try different browser
- Contact community admin
Not Receiving Emails
- Check spam/junk folder
- Add community email to contacts
- Verify email address in settings
- Check notification preferences
Profile Changes Not Saving
- Ensure all required fields filled
- Check internet connection
- Try refreshing the page
- Clear browser cache
