Account Guide

Manage your member account settings, profile information, and preferences.


Your Account

Account Overview

Your account gives you access to:

  • Community content and spaces
  • Your membership benefits
  • Events and courses you've registered for
  • Personal settings and preferences

Accessing Account Settings

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right
  2. Select Settings or Account
  3. Manage your account options

Profile Management

Profile Information

Update your profile details:

Editing Your Profile

  1. Go to Account > Profile
  2. Click Edit Profile
  3. Update your information
  4. Click Save Changes

Profile Photo

Upload a profile photo:

  1. Click your current photo
  2. Upload new image
  3. Crop if needed
  4. Save

Tips:

  • Use a clear, professional photo
  • Square images work best
  • Minimum 200x200 pixels recommended

Account Settings

Email Address

Your email is used for:

  • Signing in
  • Receiving notifications
  • Payment receipts
  • Community updates

To change email:

  1. Go to Account > Settings
  2. Click Change Email
  3. Enter new email address
  4. Verify via confirmation email

Password

To change password:

  1. Go to Account > Security
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password twice
  5. Save changes

Password tips:

  • Use at least 8 characters
  • Mix letters, numbers, symbols
  • Don't reuse passwords

Forgot Password

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click Forgot Password
  3. Enter your email
  4. Check email for reset link
  5. Create new password

Privacy Settings

Profile Visibility

Control who sees your profile:

PrivateOnly you and admins

Directory Listing

Choose whether to appear in member directory:

  • Visible - Listed in directory
  • Hidden - Not shown in directory

Contact Preferences

Control how others can contact you:

  • Enable/disable direct messages
  • Show/hide email address
  • Allow/block connection requests

Notification Preferences

Email Notifications

Manage what emails you receive:

Setting Preferences

  1. Go to Account > Notifications
  2. Toggle each notification type
  3. Choose frequency (instant, daily, weekly)
  4. Save preferences

Email Digest

Instead of individual emails:

  • Daily Digest - Summary once per day
  • Weekly Digest - Summary once per week
  • Instant - Each notification separately

Connected Accounts

Social Login

If you signed up with social login:

  • View connected accounts
  • Connect additional accounts
  • Disconnect accounts

Managing Connections

  1. Go to Account > Connected Accounts
  2. View linked services
  3. Connect or disconnect as needed

Data & Privacy

Your Data

You can request:

  • Export Data - Download your information
  • Delete Account - Remove all your data

Requesting Data Export

  1. Go to Account > Privacy
  2. Click Export My Data
  3. Wait for email with download link
  4. Download within time limit

Account Deletion

Warning: This action is permanent.

  1. Go to Account > Privacy
  2. Click Delete Account
  3. Enter password to confirm
  4. Account will be permanently deleted

Billing Information

Payment Methods

If you have memberships or purchases:

  1. Go to Account > Billing
  2. View saved payment methods
  3. Add or remove cards
  4. Set default payment method

Billing History

View your transaction history:

  • Payment dates
  • Amounts charged
  • Invoice/receipt downloads

Updating Payment Method

  1. Go to Account > Billing
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Enter card details
  4. Save

Account Security

Two-Factor Authentication

Add extra security (if available):

  1. Go to Account > Security
  2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
  3. Set up authenticator app
  4. Save backup codes

Active Sessions

View where you're logged in:

  1. Go to Account > Security
  2. See all active sessions
  3. Sign out from specific devices
  4. Sign out everywhere if needed

Security Tips

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Enable two-factor authentication
  • Review active sessions regularly
  • Don't share login credentials

Troubleshooting

Can't Log In

  1. Check email address is correct
  2. Try password reset
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Try different browser
  5. Contact community admin

Not Receiving Emails

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Add community email to contacts
  3. Verify email address in settings
  4. Check notification preferences

Profile Changes Not Saving

  1. Ensure all required fields filled
  2. Check internet connection
  3. Try refreshing the page
  4. Clear browser cache
