Configure how quizzes behave and are graded.

General Settings​

Attempt Settings​

Number of Attempts​

  • Unlimited - Retry as many times
  • Limited - Set max attempts (e.g., 3)
  • Single - One attempt only

Between Attempts​

  • Immediate retry allowed
  • Waiting period required
  • Show correct answers after all attempts

Question Display​

Question Order​

  • Sequential - Same order every time
  • Randomized - Shuffle questions

Answer Order​

  • Fixed - Options in set order
  • Randomized - Shuffle answer options

Question Pool​

  • Select random subset from pool
  • Different questions per attempt

Image Questions​

Using Images in Questions​

  • Upload image as question content
  • Image appears above answer options
  • Supports PNG, JPG, GIF

Using Images as Answers​

  • Each option can be an image
  • Students click to select
  • Good for visual identification

Image Settings​

  • Alt text for accessibility
  • Image size options
  • Zoom on click

Grading Options​

Auto-Grade​

Automatic grading for:

  • Multiple choice
  • Multiple select
  • True/false
  • Exact match short answer

Pros:

  • Instant results
  • No manual work
  • Consistent scoring

Manual Grade​

Required for:

  • Essay questions
  • Complex short answers
  • Subjective responses

Process:

  1. Student submits quiz
  2. Admin reviews answers
  3. Assigns points manually
  4. Student notified of grade

Mixed Grading​

  • Auto-grade objective questions
  • Manual grade subjective questions
  • Final score combines both

Score Display​

Timing​

  • Immediately - After submission
  • After due date - When quiz closes
