The Page Data Binding feature in Uni8 allows administrators to design and customize specific pages for particular events or other dynamic content types. This feature provides flexibility in tailoring the visual and functional aspects of a page to meet the unique needs of an event or other special occasions. Here's how it works:
Binding a Page to a Specific Event or Data Model:
Accessing the Binding Feature:
Navigate to the page you want to bind within the Uni8 Page Builder.
Open the "Page Data Binding" configuration dialog.
Selecting the Data Model:
In the "Model" dropdown, select the data model you want to bind the page to. For instance, you may choose "Event" if you are creating a custom page for a specific event.
Configuring the Query:
You have two options for specifying the data to bind:
From URL {id}: This option allows the page to dynamically display data based on the URL. It is useful for creating a template that can be reused for multiple events, with the content varying based on the event ID passed through the URL.
Specified: Choose this option to bind the page to a specific event or dataset. For example, if you are designing a special page for the "CIO 2024" event, you can directly select it from the dropdown list.
Applying the Binding:
Once you have selected the appropriate model and query option, click "Apply" to bind the data to the page. This will ensure that the content displayed on the page is automatically pulled from the specified event or dataset.
Customizing the Page:
After binding the page to an event or data model, you can use the Page Builder's tools to customize the layout, design, and content. This allows you to create a unique experience for your event attendees or users interacting with the specified data.
Use Case Example: Imagine you're organizing a significant annual event like "CIO 2024." You can use the Page Data Binding feature to create a tailored landing page for this event, showcasing specific details, speaker profiles, schedules, and more, all dynamically pulled from your event's data.
This feature enhances the ability to deliver personalized and contextually relevant content, improving the user experience and engagement with your community platform.
