1. Recurring Membership

• Choosing a Package:

  • The user begins by selecting a membership package that best fits their needs.

• Payment Gateway & Agreement:

  • The selected payment gateway (Stripe, Payoo) processes the initial payment after the user agrees to the terms of the recurring subscription.

• Recurring Payment Setup:

  • After the initial payment is processed, a recurring payment cycle is established.

  • Platform Fee: For each recurring payment, Uni8 automatically deducts a 1-2% platform fee from the total payment amount before the remainder is transferred to the community.

• Canceling Membership:

  • If the user decides to cancel their membership, the payment gateway is notified to stop any further charges after the current billing cycle. Uni8 ensures no further charges are made after the membership term ends.

• Downgrading Membership:

  • If a user opts to downgrade their membership, the change will take effect in the next billing cycle. The payment gateway will update the subscription to reflect the lower rate, and Uni8 will deduct the adjusted platform fee accordingly.

• Upgrading Membership:

  • When upgrading, the payment gateway will refund the prorated amount of the current membership. The user will be charged the difference for the upgraded membership immediately, with the new cycle commencing. Uni8 will apply the platform fee to the new payment amount.

2. One-Time Payments (Tickets, Courses)

• Product Selection:

  • The user selects the desired product (ticket, course) to purchase.

• Checkout:

  • After selection, the user proceeds to the checkout process.

• Payment Gateway & Platform Fee:

  • The payment is processed through the chosen payment gateway. Uni8 deducts a 1-2% platform fee from the total payment before the remainder is transferred to the community.

• Payment Completion:

  • The user completes the payment, and the product (ticket, course) is delivered or activated in their account.
