Quick reference for terms used throughout Uni8.
Uni8 Stages
Unite The foundation stage. Includes Website (Page Builder), Spaces (containers), and News (CMS content).
Engage The community interaction stage. Includes Social, Jobs, and Directory spaces where members interact.
Interact The monetization stage. Includes Membership, Events, and Courses for generating revenue.
Automate The growth engine stage. Includes Workflows, Gamification, and Rewards for scaling engagement automatically.

Admin User with full control over a community. Can manage settings, users, content, and payments.
Approval Workflow Process for reviewing membership applications or event registrations before accepting them.
Automation Phase 4 of Uni8. Includes Workflows, Gamification, and Rewards for scaling community engagement.
B
Badge Digital achievement or reward displayed on a member's profile. Types: Medal, Achievement, Discount.
Block A building component in the Page Builder. Blocks display text, images, forms, content lists, and more.
Billing Period How often membership fees are charged: monthly, yearly, or one-time.

Certificate Digital document awarded when a student completes a course.
Check-in Process of marking event attendees as arrived, typically using QR codes.
Collection A group of related spaces organized together in navigation.
Community Your organization on Uni8 with its own members, content, and settings.
Course Structured educational content with lessons, quizzes, and optional certificates. Part of the Interact stage.
Custom Domain Using your own domain (community.yoursite.com) instead of the default Uni8 subdomain.

Dashboard Main admin interface showing community overview and quick actions.
Directory Space A space type (Engage stage) for searchable listings of members, businesses, or resources.
Discount Code Promotional code that reduces prices for memberships, events, or courses.

Editor User role that can create and edit content but has limited admin access.
Enrollment When a user signs up for a course.
Event A scheduled activity members can attend—virtual, in-person, or hybrid. Part of the Interact stage for monetization.

Gamification Point-based engagement system with goals, leaderboards, and badges. Part of the Automate stage.
Gateway See Payment Gateway.
Goal A target (points or actions) members complete within a period (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to earn rewards.
Grace Period Time after a payment fails before membership access is removed.

Jobs Space A space type (Engage stage) for job listings and career opportunities.

Leaderboard Real-time ranking of members by points. Viewable in 7-day, 30-day, or all-time windows.
Lesson Individual learning unit within a course section. Can contain video, text, or quizzes.
LMS Learning Management System—the course functionality in Uni8.

Member A user who has joined your community.
Membership A subscription or access level that determines what a member can access. Part of the Interact stage.
Membership Tier A specific level of membership with defined benefits and pricing (e.g., Free, Basic, Premium).
Moderator User role that can manage content and members within specific spaces.

News CMS content type (Unite stage) for articles, updates, and announcements. Not a space type.

OAuth Authentication allowing users to log in with third-party accounts (Google, Facebook).
P
Page Builder Visual editor (Unite stage) for creating pages using drag-and-drop blocks. Includes AI-powered content generation.
Points Currency earned through community actions (posting, completing courses, attending events). Part of Gamification.
Payment Gateway Service that processes payments. Uni8 supports Stripe, SePay, and Payoo.
Permission A specific capability granted to a user role (e.g., posting, commenting, moderating).
Post Content published within the platform—news articles, social posts, jobs, discussions, etc.
Q
Quiz Assessment within a course to test student knowledge.
QR Code Scannable code used for event check-in. Each ticket has a unique QR code.
Query Restriction Access control level: 0=Public, 1=Registered users, 2+=Specific membership tiers.
R
Refund Returning payment to a customer, processed through the original payment gateway.
Reward Incentive members earn through participation. Types: Badge (free), Voucher (partner codes), Coupon (point-redeemable discount).
Registration Form Custom form collecting information when users register for events or memberships.
Renewal Extending a membership when the billing period ends.
Role A set of permissions assigned to a user: Admin, Moderator, Editor, or Member.

Section A grouping of lessons within a course (like chapters or modules).
SePay Vietnamese payment gateway for bank transfers with QR code verification.
Social Space A space type (Engage stage) for community discussions, posts, and member interaction.
Space A content container (Unite stage) for community engagement. Types: Social, Jobs, Directory.
Stripe International payment gateway for card payments and subscriptions.
Subdomain Default Uni8 address for your community: yourname.uni8.ai.
Subscription Recurring payment arrangement for continued membership access.
T
Template Pre-designed page layout or block configuration to customize and reuse.
Ticket Entry pass for an event. Events can have multiple ticket types with different prices.
Tier See Membership Tier.
Transaction A payment record—successful, failed, or refunded.
U
Upgrade Moving from a lower membership tier to a higher one.
V
VietQR QR code payment standard used in Vietnam, supported by SePay.
W
Webhook Automated notification sent to external systems when events occur (new member, payment, etc.).
Workflow Visual automation builder with triggers and actions. Automates tasks like sending emails, awarding points, or updating memberships. Part of the Automate stage.
