Messaging App Connections

Members can link their messaging platform accounts for direct communication via workflow automations. These IDs are used by Messaging Integrations to deliver automated messages.

Available Messaging Platforms

PlatformWhat Members EnterHow to Get It
TelegramChat ID (numeric)Message @RawDataBot on Telegram
DiscordUser ID (numeric)Enable Developer Mode → right-click username → Copy User ID
SlackMember IDClick profile → ··· → Copy member ID
WhatsAppPhone numberE.164 format (e.g., +84912345678)

Enabling Messaging Platforms

  1. Go to Settings > Profile Fields > Social Links
  2. Toggle on the messaging platforms you need
  3. Save — members can now add their IDs in their profile

How Messaging IDs Are Used

When a workflow runs a messaging action (e.g., "Send Telegram message"), it looks up the member's platform ID from their social links. If the ID is not set, the Can Send Message condition returns false, allowing you to create fallback paths (e.g., send email instead).

See Messaging Integrations — Message Conditions for workflow setup details.

  • Enable "Share custom values" to build community-specific lists organically
  • Enable only the social platforms relevant to your community to keep profiles clean
  • For messaging automations, enable the platforms you plan to use in workflows and guide members to add their IDs during onboarding
  • Review privacy settings before launching to ensure appropriate visibility for your audience
